Lessons will be held weekly for the fall semester (September through December) and the spring semester (January through May). Summer lessons are required while both the student and teacher are in town, but with flexible scheduling.
Payments
Lesson payments are due by the 30th of each month prior to lessons being given. For example, October lesson payments are due by September 30th; November lesson payments are due October 30th, etc. The number of lessons billed is based solely on the number of lessons for your given day in the next month (e.g., If your lesson day is Monday and there are four Mondays in the month, you will be billed for four lessons; if there are five Mondays in the month, you will be billed for five, etc.). Payment can be made by online from your invoice, if payment is not made by the 30th of the month, a 10 percentage additional late fee will be added.
Cancellations and Make-Up Lessons/Lesson Credits Policies
Students must cancel lessons by phone or email with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations are considered excused for illness, family emergency, or severe weather (public school closures). Excused cancellations with sufficient notification will be given a make-up lesson within the month or lesson credit towards the following month. No-shows, or cancellations without sufficient notification will not be given make-up lessons or lesson credits.
The teacher may need to reschedule or cancel a lesson due to illness, family emergency, or performance engagements. In this case, the teacher will provide a make-up lesson within the month or lesson credit towards the following month.
Excused cancellations will be given make-up lessons within the month or lesson credits towards the following month. If a student cannot attend a scheduled make-up lesson, the lesson will be considered forfeited. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. If a make-up lesson is not possible, a lesson credit will be applied toward the following month. After 3 excused cancellations, further cancelled lessons will be considered forfeited and will not be given make-up lessons, or lesson credits.
